The Chronic Medication Service is a new NHS initiative to help patients manage their repeat medicines through their pharmacy. This saves on trips to the doctor, and should allow for easy collection of your prescriptions.
Morning After Pill
The morning after pill is emergency contraception, for use within 72 hours of sexual intercourse to avoid a pregnancy. The pharmacist can prescribe this hormonal pill, but must be able to talk to the patient directly to make sure it is right for them.
If you have a positive chlamydia test, you can speak to our pharmacist about obtaining the antibiotic used to treat the chlamydia infection. Just pop into the pharmacy and ask for a private consultation.
The Minor Ailments service is a service for people who are eligible (e.g over 60’s, under 16, income support, tax credits), and allows our pharmacist to prescribe a limited range of medication to help with your ailment.
Urinary Tract Infections
If you suspect you have a urinary tract infection, and are displaying 3 of the symptoms listed below, you may be able to obtain antibiotics from the pharmacy. This means you don’t have to wait for a doctors appointment. Just pop into the pharmacy and ask for a private consultation.
This service is for females aged 16 – 65 years presenting with three or more of qualifying symptoms.
The NHS stop smoking service is a free service which allows the pharmacy to supply NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy), to patients who are looking to quit smoking. The 12 week course can help you kick the habit for life!
